Even in this site you can see characters move around tiers frequently, I mean, LoZ got buffed, RWBY got downgraded, Castlevania is going through revisions right now, etc.Īll in all, you can try your darnest to get concrete facts and evidence in VS debating, but in the end there will always be a good deal of subjective analysis, interpretation and assumptions involved. well, one of the researchers does seem to make a fair point about if Base Sonic is FTL then why would he use Laser I get your point. That being said, I have my questions about Super Sonic having Infinite Speed since that would mean he would have been *literally* equal to Time Eater yet Super Sonic still manages to avoid his attacks despite both of them being Infinite in Speed. Mind you, this doesn't mean Infinite Speed!Super Sonic although I find a shame that neither DB nor even all DB researchers in said blog acknowledge his Universe-tier feats. Base Mario easily beats Base Sonic, but I'm wondering how Mario would fair against Super Sonic if we were to put Super Sonic at his minimum against Mario. I am not sure if official DB researchers are involved on this blog, and while they don't seem to acknowledge the distinction between 3A and (Low-)2C, I did find it interesting to come across calcs that state Mario is much faster than Sonic. So not even "us" were completely certain (then again, things will always be subjected to analysis, so a character's tier is never in complete statis).īut here's something I wanted to discuss with everyone here if possible. I'd love to see the calculation for the force it took to launch Sonic that far into space, the number is probably astronomical.Ĭlick to expand. To be fair, that was around a period where even VBW (VS Battle Wikia) decided that Dante was universe-tier and that Bayonetta instead needed to get kicked back to around Planet or Continent-tier IIRC. Ben didn't cite the specific issues (I own the issue for #2, I just don't remember the name right now), but I'm sure someone here can find them and confirm them. Yeah, this is why Archie Sonic was left out, he's just too powerful. He then crash landed on some random moon and got back up a few minutes later perfectly fine. ![]() After the Black Hole Machine feat on the Archie Sonic page, the machine exploded and launched Sonic 847,000 light years away into space. Sonic outran time itself with a Power Ring on his back in order to attract a "time beam" and save the planet from dyingĤ. In a fight between Super Sonic and Hyper Knuckles, a clash between them blew up a Zone, basically an entire dimension.ģ. Sonic once splashed saltwater, removed the salt before physics could affect, and threw it at a robot to exploit a weakness, all in a trillionth of a second, which is only 100 times faster than the fastest moment in time humanity can observe and record.Ģ. Also, Ben pulled out some old Sonic comics and listed off some feats to explain why Archie wasn't used. There were a few more questions, but I don't remember them right now. Why didn't you use Archie Sonic? Because he's BROKEN AF and way more powerful than Game Sonic. Why didn't you calculate Sonic's durability from being in the black hole? Wisps were protecting him the whole time, doesn't count. Why didn't Hyper Sonic's Hyper Flash kill Mario instantly? In the games where Hyper Sonic shows up, it can't kill boss characters in one hit, only common enemies. (Personal note, he did pass out after fighting Dark Gaia in Unleashed as SS, so maybe it is taxing to keep up the form) ![]() Otherwise, it always has a time limit in game. Sonic can stay Super for days, why did you say it couldn't last a minute? It only happened in Sonic Advance, and what happened in space wasn't made clear during that few day period (They said maybe he time traveled or found some Power Rings as random examples). Why didn't you use Cappy? Sonic resisted mind control several times, so it wouldn't matter. Keep in mind, I'm just repeating their answers. So Death Battle Cast went over some questions from fans about the fight, and a few of them help shed light on their research process.
